TD awards up to $1.4 million in scholarships to 20 Canadian students for community leadership driving change at home and beyond

In recognition of their outstanding leadership in driving social change in their communities and beyond, TD is awarding 20 Canadian students with up to $1.4 million in scholarships as part of the 2017 TD Scholarships for Community Leadership. Each recipient will receive up to $70,000 for tuition and living expenses for post-secondary education, along with the chance to make lifelong connections through summer employment with TD and mentorship opportunities.

Recipients of the 2017 TD Scholarships for Community Leadership

“From mentoring at-risk youth and human rights advocacy to building mental health awareness, this year’s recipients embody the values of the TD Scholarships for Community Leadership,” said Dr. Jane Thompson, Executive Director, TD Scholarships for Community Leadership. “We are inspired by their commitment to their communities and are thrilled to help them realize their educational goals and build a brighter future.”

Since the program started in 1995, more than $22 million in scholarships have been granted to 440 high school and CEGEP students in Canada through TD Scholarships for Community Leadership.
