Understanding the future of work
Every day, the nature of work is changing. The makeup of our workforce continues to shift, and the way we think about jobs, employment, and the role of work in our daily lives is evolving with technological advances.
As part of The Ready Commitment platform, TD recently announced a strategic partnership with the Public Policy Forum that will include a three-year research partnership to help better understand the future of work as well as the opportunities and challenges the changes in the Canadian workforce represent.
"We are proud to announce this new, ambitious, three-year research partnership with the Public Policy Forum to explore ways in which Canadians can adapt and succeed in a changing workplace," said Norie Campbell, Group Head, Customer and Colleague Experience, TD.
"With this partnership, we will try to get underneath the concerns faced by many to identify the root causes. Building a more inclusive future, where millions can share in the opportunities before us, is our collective focus."
This Future of Work partnership will enable TD to gather new insights about important policy issues, such as income stability, while contributing to policy development. TD will fund the initiative with a $750,000 commitment over three years.
The project will focus on topics such as income stability, lifelong learning, retraining and reskilling.
The Public Policy Forum has a 30-year history of working with all levels of government and the public service, the private sector, Indigenous groups, labour, post-secondary institutions and NGOs to improve policy outcomes for Canadians.
