The best mortgage for you and low-cost summer fun ideas: TD's top headlines for July
Summer is in full swing, and while you've been busy soaking up the sun you may have missed a few of the stories TD highlighted from across Canada. Not to worry, here's a look at our coverage for July.
In our final installments of the Meet TD series, we introduced you to two more key players who are driving our winning customer experience. Meet them below:
Meet Kari Scarlett – TD's manager of community banking for the Prairie Region. Based in Calgary, Kari works closely with non-profit organizations to grant sponsorships, donations and other forms of support for programs and services that benefit the diverse needs of local communities.
Meet Julien Abboud – TD's East Coast financial advisor who is helping customers—many of whom are seniors—learn to use technology so that they can better understand the digital tools available to them.

In July we launched Financial Advice to My Younger Self—a new advice series featuring advice from TD employees who share their experiences and what they wished they could have told themselves years ago using personal financial stories.
In the first installment, Andrew Pilkington, Executive Vice President, Branch Banking, reflects on how there's no such thing as a sure bet in real estate.
Rina DeGrazia, Vice President, Financial Education, also shared how one pair of luxurious, yet uncomfortable boots taught her just how emotional our relationship with money can be.
Last month, TD and The Knowledge Society teamed up to celebrate exceptional students who are creating innovative solutions for immigrants and new Canadians to access financial services more seamlessley.
Even though your mortgage is one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll ever make, many Canadians don’t understand the ins and outs of how they’re paying for their home. Check out this video for more clarity on the difference between a fixed or variable rate mortgage.

Everyday heroes hide in plain sight and often don't realize their superpowers. In communities across the country, individuals are doing incredible things like building homes for underprivileged families to raising awareness for rare diseases, to putting a smile on the faces of children who are in the hospital.
Because these heroes are an inspiration to us all, last month we said #TDThanksYou to 49 community heroes who we're also proud to call our customers. Seven heroes were each given a $50,000 donation to their causes. And another 42 heroes received $5,000 to help fund work that aims to address the needs of Canadians of all ages.
Summer is now. Whether you're looking to take a vacation, embrace your inner foodie, go to a music festival or relax—we've put together a list of must-do activities to help you make the most of your Canadian summer without breaking the bank.
