How Data Is Driving the Future of Banking: TD's Christian Nelissen
A new video series hosted by tech expert Marc Saltzman gives a behind the scenes look at how TD is building the bank of the future. In this episode, Christian Nelissen, TD's Senior Vice President of Enterprise Data and Analytics discusses how data and analytics are poised to play an even bigger role in the way that banks think about customer experiences.
"We are becoming a data-driven organization. Data has been playing a big behind-the-scenes role in our transformation – it has been powering TD MySpend and it will ensure that we can make conversational AI work and successfully integrate it into the TD Mobile app. We are developing an authentic set of capabilities that will enable us to create more seamless experiences for our customers, while at the same time help us to be more flexible and responsive to what truly matters to them." - Christian Nelissen, TD's Senior Vice President of Enterprise Data and Analytics
TD is also investing in the future of Canadian data and analytics talent and has announced funding for new programs at both Western University in London, Ontario and the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. The funding will help ensure that Canada is building a diverse ecosystem of data and analytics talent and will foster the continued building of critical partnerships between Canada's financial technology sector and leading educational institutions.
