How increased digital confidence can help connect new Canadians with their community

At one of Toronto's biggest hackathons, over 500 hackers came together to log 21,000 hours in order to help solve one problem:

How do we create a more data driven, technologically-connected city that is inclusive, safe and vibrant for everyone that calls Toronto home?

A team of eight women from TD were among those who participated in the Elevate Hackathon. The event, created by TD, was where this team found a way to use their own experiences as new Canadians to design a solution that would help increase the digital confidence of other newcomers and improve their quality of life.

Watch their story to see how these employees used their common experiences to support more connected communities using technology.
