Context is King: The Evolution of TD for Me
Since its launch in September 2016, over 1.3 million customers have come to use TD for Me as a digital concierge for their financial lives. The feature within the TD mobile app uses device information like location and user profile to personalize content , helping customers find the nearest branch or offering foreign exchange information at the airport.

And there’s more on the way. As we constantly evolve customers’ mobile experiences, TD for Me is also evolving to help simplify customers’ lives. For example, a new feature provides train schedules to commuting customers in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area, a big convenience for those who plan their day by the local train schedule.
"We're building on the capabilities within TD for Me to offer an even more personalized and connected experience to our customers," said Todd Copeland, SVP Digital Channels. "Adding information from outside sources through public APIs opens the door to another layer of context, enabling us to engage with customers in new and increasingly relevant ways."
The latest update to TD for Me will tap into commuter train schedule information to provide users with notifications if there are any service updates affecting their usual routes. The app will automatically understand which routes and updates may be relevant by leveraging device information, but it’s also possible to tailor notifications. This is a first step and we are exploring expanding to other cities in the future.
