TD honoured as the only Canadian bank on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index
TD is thrilled to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI), for the fourth consecutive year. The DJSI recognizes the top 10 percent of sustainable banks across the world. A total of 212 global banks were invited to participate, and TD was the only Canadian bank to secure a position on the World Index, which included a shortlist of 28 banks.
The DJSI evaluates the sustainability performance of leading companies based on environmental, social and economic factors such as environmental policy and reporting, corporate governance and corporate philanthropy. TD was recognized for its strong performance in the areas of Customer Relations Management and Financial Inclusion. Furthermore, TD was the best in industry for Risk Management, Climate Strategy, Environmental Reporting, Social Reporting and Human Capital Development.
