Inaugural TD Tech Day puts the spotlight on transformation

Building the bank of the future was a major theme at TD's inaugural Tech Day, an event that brought together select technology partners and leaders from across the bank to share insights on innovation and TD's technology transformation story.

Colleen Johnston, Group Head, Direct Channels,Technology, Marketing and Corporate & Public Affairs at TD kicked off the day, offering her perspective on TD's innovation journey, and making the bank of the future a reality.

"We know our customers love engaging with us. In fact, those who are digitally active interact with us 17 times a month and many of those interact with us multiple times a day," said Johnston. "But it's important to remember that no one gets up in the morning and says – I want a mortgage or a new credit card. They say – I want to own a home, invest in my children's education, start a business, take a holiday with my family, plan for a happy and secure retirement. For us, it's about creating powerful new customer experiences.  It's about removing barriers and enhancing our relationships.

The event also created a forum to share news of three new TD initiatives; which demonstrate TD's commitment to fostering Canadian innovation, evolving its   relationship with customers, and continuing to develop and augment its cybersecurity talent:
